When you contact us

When you submit the inquiry form, we securely save the contact details you provide: your name, email address, phone number, optional city and state, puppy or topic, message, and live-visit preference. We also record the submission date, website source, and privacy-notice version associated with your consent. Contented Puppies uses this information to respond, follow up, and maintain an accurate record of the conversation.

The site creates a short-lived, non-reversible fingerprint from network information to limit automated spam. Raw IP addresses are not stored with inquiry records.

Storage and authorized access

Inquiry records are processed by our website hosting provider and are available only to authorized administrators. After an inquiry is saved, its contents are sent to Contented Puppies through our transactional email provider, Resend. We retain email-delivery status, timestamps, provider message identifiers, and a history of delivery attempts so failed notifications can be identified and retried. Administrators may mark records as read, archive and restore them, review status history, and create protected exports for business continuity. Administrative actions, delivery attempts, and exports are logged.

Inquiry records are retained for follow-up, business-record, security, and applicable legal purposes. Phone and direct email links connect you with Contented Puppies through your telephone or email provider.

Website analytics

On our production website, we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors find and use the site, improve its content and navigation, and measure the steps people take toward contacting us or reserving a puppy. Google Analytics 4 measures information such as page views, phone-link clicks, inquiry submissions, reservation activity, and completed orders. For reservation and order events, the measurements may include the puppy or product name and identifier, payment choice, order number, and order value. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, inquiry messages, or payment-card details to Google Analytics.

Microsoft Clarity measures how pages render and how visitors interact with them, including clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement. It uses this information to produce behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replays that help us find confusing or broken parts of the site. Google Analytics and Clarity may use first- or third-party cookies, pseudonymous identifiers, and similar technologies, and may receive page URLs, approximate location derived from an IP address, and browser or device information. These providers process the information under their own terms and privacy practices.

You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services and install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Microsoft explains its practices in the Microsoft Privacy Statement and its Clarity privacy guidance. Clarity supports Global Privacy Control and an opt-out offered through the Digital Advertising Alliance. You can also block or delete cookies using your browser settings, although doing so may limit some site or checkout features.

Ecwid checkout

Reservations and payments are handled separately through the embedded Ecwid storefront and checkout. Ecwid and the payment provider selected at checkout may collect the customer, order, and payment information you submit there and may use their own cookies or identifiers. That processing is governed by the notices shown within checkout and the Ecwid privacy policy.
